WOW 12.18

workout wednesday with tattooedteacherintexas and hosted by skinnymeg!

{note: skinny meg is taking a well-deserved break.  that girl has been rocking her way though her pregnancy and inspiring us all, but now it’s time for some maternity leave from WOW for her.  but i’m just going to try to keep up with my own WOW posts to keep myself accountable and reflective on how i’m doing!}

the flu totally sidelined me for about five days.  but i was back to it yesterday.  i’ve decided to kind of take it easy for a few days just to make sure i don’t wear myself out and get sick again.  the flu sucks.  i definitely don’t want to put myself in a position for it to weasel its way back into my body.  i basically ate crackers and soup the entire weekend.  not a whole lot of nutritional value going on there.  i’m still getting my food situated again, but it’s hard with all the goodies at school this week!  i definitely did not resist any of them, but didn’t go overboard either.  maybe by the weekend, i’ll have it all straightened out.  or maybe not.  i’m not sure.

so i’m not good at just making up workouts.  it’s just not my thing.  i need to be told what to do.  so i found this new arm workout from jessica smith.  it doesn’t seem like it would be that hard.  it’s only 20 minutes, but there is a section in the middle that is mainly core.  and if you up the weights, you will definitely feel it.  the other one is just an 11 minute cardio burst.  i did those two videos on tuesday to get back in the groove after being horizontal and non-active for five days in a row.  i think i might try a barre workout tomorrow and then kick up the cardio by the weekend.  i’m feeling a little squishy around my middle if you know what i mean, and there’s only a few more days until the holidays hit in full force!
