WOW 1.22 – i’ve been workin’ on my sh*t

{note: skinny meg is taking a well-deserved break.  that girl has been rocking her way though her pregnancy and inspiring us all, but now it’s time for some maternity leave from WOW for her.  but i’m just going to try to keep up with my own WOW posts to keep myself accountable and reflective on how i’m doing!}

i love me a little iggy azalea!  work, work, work, work, workin’ on my shit.

anyway, i did a little hiking this week.  it was refreshing.  i got a little off track on my food this weekend, but i’m back on it.  my goal is to drop a pound and a half this week.  i’m pretty sure i can do it as long as i stay the course and don’t “treat” myself too much.  i was sick on monday with a sinus headache (it’s been super dry here) so i took a rest day, but i picked up yesterday with some killer HIIT.

i’ve been purposefully trying to do more strength training lately.  i think it’s helping me stay motivated and feeling strong.  i have also been incorporating the jillian michaels’ “hard body” dvd twice a week for the past couple of weeks.  here’s my review of “hard body” if you’re interested.  i like it because it is mainly a strength-building workout and it pushes me to limits.

so pilates and cardio…  a match made in heaven?  heck yes!  this 35 min fitness blender workout is perfect for a mid-week workout.  it keeps your heart rate up in between some great toning sections.  i like how kelly has a hard time with some of the moves too.  it makes me feel better, like she’s not the superhero she looks like.  🙂
