WOW 2.19 – no excuses.

i had some missteps on my food this past weekend.  i ordered a pizza, something i very rarely do.  the other problem was that i didn’t go grocery shopping when i should have.  i waited because i just didn’t want to go.  so i made excuses because “there was nothing to eat” in my fridge.  excuses get you no where.  actually, they get you moving backwards.  and i refuse to move backwards.  so i dragged myself to the store on tuesday and refilled my fridge with healthy choices and meal prepped.  no excuses.

i’ve been pretty good on the fitness front for the past week or so.  i got in 9 miles of hiking in the canyon on saturday, which made me tired, sore, and sunburned.  but i needed to get some fresh air!  i took off sunday, but got right back on schedule on monday.  no excuses.

i got a stability ball for christmas and was so excited to use it but i didn’t really know what to do with it.  it came with a fitness dvd but i misplaced it.  so it sat in the corner of my room…  except for when it travels across the room by itself.  and never in the same direction.  i think it might be possessed!

but i found this short video on using a stability ball for some abs work.  it’s 13 minutes long so it’s a good video for before or after another workout.  while you’re doing it and even after, you may think – this is not doing anything!  but just wait until the next day!!  it works.

{note: skinny meg is taking a well-deserved break.  that girl has been rocking her way though her pregnancy and inspiring us all, but now it’s time for some maternity leave from WOW for her.  but i’m just going to try to keep up with my own WOW posts to keep myself accountable and reflective on how i’m doing!}
