WOW 3.5 – prepping for my “spring fix”

the past week has been pretty positive.  i’ve been pretty much on track with my food and workouts.  i got a new dvd i’ve been trying out, which i’ve been loving.  (i’m going to do another review soon like i did with “hard body”.)

spring break is coming up quick (FRIDAY!), and i’m making a game plan.  since i’m staying put to save money for another solo summer road trip, i want to really push it with my fitness/food.  i have the time.  why not use it?

i’m actually getting pumped about it.  a full week to get reenergized and excited again.  this time could be the jumpstart that i’ve been needed.  in the past, i would have been a total couch potato, but not this time.  this time will be different.  i will use my break to the fullest.

so i’m calling it my “spring fix” instead of my spring break.  dorky, i know.  i’m not calling it that in public.  but seriously, i’m determined not to let spring break “break” me.  i ordered a brand new jillian michaels dvd and have two others on reserve along with a playlist of fitness blender videos on youtube.  i’m gonna kill it.  i just know it.

i did this strength and HIIT workout earlier this week and really liked it.  it is a well-rounded workout and a good length.  the HIIT bursts keeps you heart rate up, and the strength sections push your muscles.  it’s 35 minutes long with a warmup and cool down included.

{note: skinny meg is taking a well-deserved break.  that girl has been rocking her way though her pregnancy and inspiring us all. in fact, she’s giving birth today!!! so it’s time for some maternity leave from WOW for her.  but i’m just going to try to keep up with my own WOW posts to keep myself accountable and reflective on how i’m doing so i’ll be ready to go when she starts back up again!}
