1.30 | high five for friday!

…one…

i had some great workouts this week.  i’m still on schedule, except for moving yesterday’s workout to today.  i’m almost halfway done with my 8 week challenge.  my endurance and strength are coming back.  i’m feeling more motivated now and excited to see what i can do next.

….two…

i received my erin condren on-the-go notebook.  first of all, it’s beautiful.  but it’s already proving to be useful.  it feels good to be journaling again.  (click HERE for some more info and pics.)

…three…

despite a horrible experience this week that i’m sure all teachers face at some point, school was good. i even got my lesson plans done ahead of time and don’t have any “homework” over the weekend.  while grading notebooks, i ran across this funny beyonce-inspired note.  of course, i had to respond.

…four…

one of my all time favorite shows ended this week. parenthood was an amazing show with complex and interesting characters. i was sad to see it go but grateful it stuck around for six seasons.  i won’t give any spoilers, but i will say that i kept it together until zeek (the father, not the new baby 🙂 asked sara if he had been a good father.  then it was just tears till the end.

…five…

i did some cooking this week. (still working on that 1 new recipe a week goal.)  so i made a two bean pasta salad from the meatless cookbook and some caramel blondies for school. both were great!

  1. I’m a high school teacher too, and I just love (I’ll use that word loosely) the commentary I receive on my students work. This job is always entertaining at least! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Yay for being halfway done! You gave me the motivation to start doing Fitness Blender again, and I’m sore but loving it 🙂 The two bean pasta looks delicious, too. I try to cook some meatless meals, and that looks great.

    Thanks for linking up! 🙂
