9•4 | high five for friday!

H54F with a tattooed teacher in texas

i spent this past saturday at the lake with some friends.  it wasn’t crowded like we thought it might be.  it was nice to relax and float in the lake and take a nap on the boat.  and it was fun to be thrown around on a tube behind the boat a couple of times.  but most of all, it was great to spend some time with some of my favorite people.  🙂

i had good workouts this week, but i can do better. i’m down seven pounds from the first of the summer, and i want to keep going.  i’ve been tired because of going back to school, but i’m still making working out and my health a priority.  and that’s with the amazing (yes, amazing) cafeteria food at school.  🙂

i finished my first meetings with teachers as the 21st century learning coach this week.  they weren’t without hiccups, but that’s to be expecting right out of the gate.  i’m energized and excited about it all.  it’s mentally stimulating and interesting for me.  i hope that it will make a difference for other people too.

finally…this album was released.  i’ve been following this local band for years, and this was their first full length studio album.  i listened to it all week!

the annual rodeo is this weekend.  i have to work it one day, but i’m going to it the other day.  my parents and middle sister are coming to town to see where i work and of course, the rodeo.
