after a particularly hard and busy but extremely productive week at school, i got green-lighted by my grad school advisor to register for my first class. it’s all coming together! …with a heavy price tag, but a hopeful outlook.
i was listening to one of my favorite podcasts this week about pop culture witches. it was funny and super interesting. they shared their witch #squadgoals. here are mine:
endora from bewitched – she’s a sassy bitch. i like that.
glenda the good witch from the wizard of oz – she’s always got a positive attitude and lets you figure things out for yourself.
the sanderson sisters from hocus pocus – for comic relief.
the charmed sisters – always stylish and badass.
sally and gillian from practical magic – they seem so fun… put the lime in the coconut! (side note: my all time favorite halloween/witch movie)
sarah from the craft – she’s been through some shit. i feel like she’d be a good advice giver.
if this is a spoiler for any #TWD fans out there, but you must be living under a rock. it’s been the debate between the teachers at school this week: is glenn dead or are they faking us out? they’ve played with our hearts before. but i say NO. NO. NOT GLENN. PLEASE NOT GLENN.
we tried out boo buddies during october at school. (think: secret santas for halloween) i was convinced that it was a certain person because i got some very strange things. the teacher i had in mind would totally do it, but then i started having doubts when i got a random good thing. turns out it was just a man. apparently, the men did not understand what we were doing because they messed up all over the place. but i was pleasantly surprised with my final gift. i’ve been wanting this particular scensy for my classroom for months. maybe even years! it’s beautiful. it’s already set up in my classroom and masking the disgusting odor of hormonal teenagers.
by this time next week, i’ll be on the road to dallas to see my baby sister (and of course, my bro-in-law)!!! we have a fun-filled weekend planned (okay…mostly unplanned). but we’re going to have a great time! can’t wait to get out of town for a few days and spend some time with my sister.
