thanksgiving break was great! i did get iced in while visiting my family and had to stay a few extra days, but i’m not complaining. 🙂

i got my little tree put up this week. this will probably be the last year that i use it because hopefully by this time next year, i’ll have room for a proper tree. one that’s taller than three feet. still, it’s bittersweet. this little tree has gotten me through many christmases .

my evaluation and post-conference are done. my student growth portfolio is turned in. i’m thankful that that particular stress is over. but the next two weeks are going to be crazy at school. pray i make it through!

i’ve been christmas shopping like a madwoman. i do this every year. i set a budget…and then promptly overspend. i can’t help it. i like buying things for people that i care about. i even enjoy the hours of research and price comparison. it’s fun. plus, it helps me get me in the christmas spirit because i hate the current weather and christmas songs playing everywhere.

i found a few gems at walmart (where else???) for an ugly christmas sweater gender reveal party i’m going to this weekend. it’s a cute idea for a party, and i can’t wait to look like a nineties stay at home mom.

HAHAHA on that moist ecard. Love that. Congrats on getting everything done at work. These next two weeks are hell. Love a good Walmart find.
I did the exact same thing with the mandolin. I got agitated with the guard. I took it off and continued to slice potatoes. Next thing I know my finger was the one being sliced. RIP right corner of my finger. I’m not allowed to use it now. Good luck on the next few weeks, they may be crazy but we will survive!
Ouch! Luckily I only sliced mine open. All good now.
10 days, 10 days, 10 days. 😀
