my new planner layout

my 2016 #EClifeplanner
november was a difficult month for my creativity.  i just wasn’t feeling it.  it showed in my layouts.  they were lame and boring.  also, i wasn’t using my planner as much as i used to.  so i decided that for december, i would try some different things.

first, i moved my fitness list from the sidebar to the bottom bar.  i realized that tracking my food and fitness was all well and good, but i wasn’t reflecting on it.  i was just listing it and not looking back at it.  so i changed the bottom bar to “health notes”.  this has worked out much better.  it’s different every day.  i just write down whatever i’m feeling.

then, i changed my side bar to weekly to dos.  i couldn’t see ahead because my to dos were all over the week.  this has also worked out much better.  school has been crazy lately and those plans have been longer.  there’s much more room for them now.

i don’t know why i waited so long to make these changes.  i was just being lazy i guess.  lesson learned: don’t be afraid to try something different.  since i’ve switched things up, my creativity has been coming back to me.  it’s also much more functional, which is kind of the point of a planner.  🙂
