amika bombshell blowout spray – game. changer.  my fine hair needs protection and texture.  this provides both.  i got it in my january birchbox, but found it for a little bit cheaper on amazon with free shipping because prime rocks.

mac mineralize skin finish pressed powder – i was using the laura mercier translucent powder but it was a little too drying right now.  this one is perfect for the winter months and sits very well on the skin.  it’s very subtle.  i use color light plus.

wet and wild blush in rose champagne – so cheap and so pretty for spring and summer!

real colors stay n spray makeup setting spray from sally’s – this is more of a dewy spray than the loreal spray that i love.  i need the moisture in the winter and this is great.  it works well on my sponge while applying under eye concealer too.

neutrogena hydroboost water gel with sunscreen – i love the original and i’m so glad they put out one with spf for the daytime.  it’s not greasy at all and absorbs completely into the skin so it’s great for oily girls.

{favorite eats}

bibimbap – i’m mildly obsessed with this korean dish.  i’ve never had it in a restaurant, but i’ve tried a couple variations from a vegetarian cookbook that i have.  so yummy!

healthy ramen salad – i found this recipe on pinterest.  i also added some broccoli and quinoa.  so filling and tasty.  sometimes i’ll add some morning star chicken nuggets for some more protein.  the trick is roasting the almonds and ramen noodles and keeping them separate until you build the salad.

{favorite reads}

honestly, i’ve been reading nothing but my textbook for my grad class.  but i just ordered mindy kaling’s new book and tiny beautiful things by cheryl strayed, and i’m excited to dive into them.

{favorite new music, tv shows, movies, podcasts}

the royals soundrack – this is soooo good!  i love the show too.  it’s a little soapy, but it’s all in good fun.

charles kelley – love, love, love.  it’s country but it’s not so it’s right up my alley.

making a murderer – do i need to even talk about this one??

stuff mom never told you podcast – this modern feminist podcast has taught me so much.  the topics are things that i would have a hard time talking to other people about.  they’re usually pretty random.  but the girls break it down and explain it well, usually with a bit of humor.

teachers – this tv land show cracks me up.  it’s remarkably close to life!  unfortunately, i only got to see one full episode on hulu.  i’m hoping they release the rest of the season eventually because the other clips i’ve seen are funny!
