goals · personal life

new year, new goals.

i sat down the other day and planned out my one little word.  if you’re unfamiliar, it’s when you pick a word to build your goals around for the new year.  last year, mine was health.  i thought about all the ways i could support my health and all the kinds of health that i needed to think about.

this year, as i thought about it, i honed in on one word: grit.  i made a lot of strides in 2017, especially in regards to my health.  but i gave up too easily.  i didn’t push myself.  i didn’t step out of my comfort zone enough.  i just didn’t do enough.  i know that i’m capable of more for myself.  but up until recently, i didn’t think i deserved it or needed it.  “it” being so many things…

so i mindmapped the word “grit” and wrote down all the things i want to do in these categories: money, mind, body, and soul.  i might be slow, but i will keep going.
